In a 2010 performance, Alan Gilbert conducts Mahler's Sixth Symphony. The program opens with two works inspired by magical musical instruments: Mozart's overture to The Magic Flute and Schubert's overture to The Magic Harp.
Gabriela Montero makes her Minnesota Orchestra debut, performing her own Latin Piano Concerto, in a program featuring repertoire inspired by Spanish and Latin America musical traditions.
Robert Aubry Davis explores the sources and mainstreams of European music for the thousand years before the birth of Bach.
Michael Barone hosts this program featuring music from the diverse repertoire for the organ Mondays at 11 am.
